Seizures
I witnessed a guy in my class have a seizure today. It was one of the scariest things I have ever seen. I've heard people talk about witnessing a person have a seizure, but it's a whole different story when you actually see one. I was sitting in Spanish class listening to the teacher lecture when all of the sudden this guy starts yelling. I was so confused. I think the teacher was caught off guard and 30 seconds later started yelling that this guy, Miguel is having a seizure. My first reactions was to run away. That damn flight or fight reflect.
Then he started to convulse and fall out of his desk. As he was falling he hit his nose of the desk next to him. He gashed the side of his nose and started to bleed. People were trying to call the police and they needed an address, but it took forever for someone to figure out the exact address of the building on campus. I didn't know what to do. By the look on everybody's face you could everyone was in shock, myself included. A couple minutes later his convulsions stopped and he started to make a noise like he was snoring really loud. We all pushed the desk away from where he was. Blood was on the floor, on his book and on his clothing. The paramedics finally came and told everyone to leave.
This had to have been one of the most distrubing things I have ever seen. I don't mean it in a bad way its just this is the type of thing you don't see often or want to see happen. On my walk home after this class I got extermely naustious. I think it was my nerves. What was strange was he seemed fine at the beginning of the class. The teacher even called on him to answer a question and he answered it well. I was talking to my friend, who is EMT certified, and he said the seizure could have been caused because he got nervous, but I'm not sure this is the case cause the teacher calls on everyone. I hope he's okay. I wonder if he'll be in class on Monday.

"Lovers" Day
Single Celebration...or not.
So that dreaded time of the year is creeping up...Valentines Day. If your a girl and in a relationship all you can think of is: What is he planning? What is going to get me? What am I going to get him that's not girly? and so on. If your a girl and single, all you can think of is: wow this day sucks. When is this day going to be over? I hate happy couples.
This will be my first year not having a "Valentine." Well except for last year, my ex and I were broken up and he still got me a Valentines present. I definitely wasn't expecting that. We still spend every weekend together... Oh and I should mention we broke up 2 years ago. I'm not quite sure what it is, but its like we can't let go of each other. I know that's the reason I haven't found someone else, but I'm still on the fence about that one. Anyways, that's a whole other blog.
I can't wait to start looking forward to Valentines Day again(even if it is a Hallmark day).

Pretty Penny
Material Desires
I have an obsession with box clutches. I own one about this size from Banana Republic and I want a whole shelf of just sparkly, petite box clutches.
Oh Chanel. What more can I say?
Classic.
I will own an Alexander McQueen clutch someday...
Lately, I have been loving feathers. Especially these Manolo Blahnik pair.
Didn't you know? Diamonds are a girl's best friend.
A Snooze hot chocolate. Only thing I can afford and can't wait to try.
Took a break from my dreaded homework to write this blog. These are all the material things I desire and hope to someday own(even though it might put a dent in my bank account...). It's all for the power of fashion!!! At least, that's what I try to convince myself.

The Gamble We Call Life
School had officially started. Ugh...I loaded up my schedule because I would like to graduate someday in the near future. So much to do. I'm taking 5 classes(possibly 6), which a normal full time student would be taking 4 classes. I really hope I don't get overwhelmed like last semester because the result was that I got shingles. Shingles is revisited chickenpox caused by stress. I really don't want that to happen this semester cause it is way too painful.
Well now that I have basically gone to all of my classes the chaos of a student life begins. I feel like I need a personal assistant to tell me when all my assignments are due and help me manage my time. That would be awesome. Well...wish me luck.

Oldies, but Goodies
Aging Well
Every time I come home from NYC I fall in love all over again. This city amazes me every time. Here are some wonderful photos from the 1930s and 1940s of NYC. Enjoy!

Chapter 1 of 2011
New Years
So Christmas is officially over. :-( On a good note, New Years is just around the corner! Bad note, time is flying way to fast. I wish time would just slow down a bit. I've been stressing about school a lot lately. The plan is to major in Biology then to apply for dental school. ugh. I am a junior now and I'm not sure how I will be able to graduate in 2012. I still have so much to do. Organic chemistry will definitely be the class that stresses me out the most because I have to graduate with a 3.78 GPA. I'm sure this is a common stress with so many college students as well. I can't wait till I look back and be thankful that I put myself through this stressful period. We will see what happens starting this new year. I leave for NYC on Thursday. I'm so excited!!!
